My name is Rasmus Kristoffersson and I work as a photographer with at specialization in automotive photography. I always strive for perfection and often get the comment from people in my surrounding that I tend to be a bit of a nerd when it comes to details in whatever I do – be it camera technology, a graphic design or when I work on my project-car in the garage.
This focus on details has taken me to the level of professionality in automotive photography that I have today and it is well complimented by the theoretical knowledge that I have gained in my university studies.
Skills
As an Automotive Photographer you have to understand cars and what it is that makes them look great. Presenting a car in a pre-determined manner requires a specialized set of technical skills and knowledge. You have to consider the optimal lightning, location, composition, movement and processing for each object.
In order to do this you also have to weigh in the lines, shapes and paint-type in order to emphasize the shape of the car. The special set of skills is acquired through years of practice in this field, which I am very passionate about – it’s really more of a culture and a way of life than a job.
A good-looking car doesn’t make a good-looking photograph, the photographer does!

I’ve been running my own business as a photographer in parallell during my studies. The oppertunity to have one foot in theory and one in practice has resulted in a wider perspective on what I am doing. At it´s best it gives me an opportunity to combine the best of both worlds.
Being a person focusing on the important details I risk spending too much time on this, but with my experience I can be efficent by using paretos law. This means we can use 20% of the time to deliver 80% of the result and avoid getting stuck with another 80% of time to reach the last 20% in result.
